We've never EVER been overcharged in the Afghan K - tho' we've OFTEN felt we hadn't' been charged enough: it's GREAT. How do they do it for the money - and how do they do that fancy wine?

Overcharged? Are you sure? It's never happened to either of us ever and we've been going reguarly ever since it opened - that must be 10 years now. It's our very favourite restaurant in London.

Don't understand this at all, the idea "That it wasn't freshly cooked". What's 'fresh'? Surely everything in the Afghan Kitchen is freshly cooked every day - you can see it being cooked! - but, as opposed to the "bad old days" of Indian-type food then having to be kept hot for hours over those 'wick' things and spoiled, along came the great break-through of the microwave which properly reheats everything and has revolutionised all really good Indian-type restaurants. Is that what you would honestly prefer? Not us.. and we go to the [wonderful!] Afghan K at least once a week... and [almost] never eat microwaved food at home.
Not such a fan of the whole microwave thing! Fortunately the yoghurt chicken didn't taste reheated (the ultimate sin) but I wasn't so keen on the idea that it wasn't freshly cooked. Surely its not that hard to cook food that doesn't require reheating, and for such a small business to not get this fundamental right is a bit worrysome.Anyway - the yoghurt chicken was delicious if not a tad overpriced for the non-fresh factor...
